The Midsummer Rain

The Midsummer Rain The wind blew in all directions, making the leaves dance like illusions. The thunder binds, fears of all kinds. The perfume of the Earth,  overpowers the stink of the hearth. The clouds form many patterns,  sometimes like little lanterns. Children long to play in the rain, and argue with their parents in vain. Who would want to be left behind, when the skies get kind? 20.04.2012

The Monsoon

The Monsoon The green leaves welcomed the monsoon, on a buzzing sunday afternoon. The raindrops ploughed through the air, and made me ruffle my hair. The thunder split the sky, and roused my fears too high. Seeing the birds in gay, reminded me of a friend in bay. Soothing may the monsoon be,  lonely it feels to me. 13.04.2012

The Peach Sunset

The Peach Sunset I felt like a kid again, lying down and pretending to sleep in vain. I could feel the sun rays on my skin, a blissful warmth; a ray of hope to soak in. I sat up after a while, my mind at ease, and looked through the window; a soft breeze, ruffled up the leaves of a nearby peepul. the birds flew home, as did the tired people. Mr. Sun was on his way to the other ocean. Try as I might, i couldn’t see him in motion. He blushed a fiery red, and quickened his pace, anxious to get to bed. The sky picked up his demeanour, though her colouration was a meagre peach to his fire. They cast a surreal light, bathing every nook with all their might. I knew science had an explanation for this, involving wavelengths and frequencies But I guess that takes the charm out of such a scene, making it a slew of equations hard to perceive.
